Secondary market: £75k sold in the in <90 seconds

On 27 May 2021, one of our investors put up a £75,000 loan in the secondary market as they wished to exit their position before the loan matured. The loan was snapped-up by another investor in less than 90 seconds! This operation was a great testament to the efficiency and liquidity of our secondary market and a clear example of the benefits this feature can provide to lenders.

Please be advised that from a regulatory and compliance point of view, lenders need to be aware that the secondary market may be illiquid. Although Blend Network has a 100% success track record of all loans in the secondary market being sold, not all loans listed on the secondary market sell this quickly, and some unfortunately may not manage to sell in the future. Therefore, the sale of a loan part, and therefore liquidity, cannot be guaranteed. But the secondary market has proved itself again to be a valuable resource for Blend investors, both those looking to sell, and those looking to buy.
